I thought I would share how I make a basic hexagon granny block…in this case, this pattern is done in baby yarn and can be used in a wide variety of colors to make a nice baby afghan.
This was taught to me eons ago by a wise crochet sage 😉 who was like a mentor to me and straightened me out in a lot of areas regarding my techniques. So while the pattern is no doubt not original at all, I have not seen it written down anywhere in so many rounds as to make an afghan/blanket block this size in baby yarn. (6 to 6 1/2 in) . I have had to scramble through my crazy notes to make a pattern that makes sense…so if you see any errors please let me know !
These cute little flowers are of my own design, after searching through a lot of flower patterns on line for something to use for a baby pattern, but not really seeing exactly what I wanted…so I created these.
This was such a fun summer project to make. It is definitely a keeper and favorite of mine. It stitched up fast, easy and took really no time at all. The best part about it was that you can completely customize the pattern to your size and shape. Now who doesn’t like that one !!!
This I completed awhile back as a gift. I have to say it was a breeze to make and it not only stitched up quickly, but it made quite an impressive gift ! ( And don’t we all love it when it is easy to make and the person receiving it is so impressed !! LOL)
